Flowing wonderfuly

I ended up staying up waaaayyyyy too late tonight, but the words have been coming out freely and I wanted to take advantage of it while it lasts. Here's the next installment:

Just as she was about to tumble over the edge Lexi woke up, panting as if she was having sex. Her heart was racing and she was soaked with sweat. Logan had been plaguing her dreams for the past two weeks and Lexi was getting sick of it. Why he was suddenly occupying her subconscious again, she had no clue.
After three years she was over him, or she reminded herself every time she awoke panting and wishing he was here to make the ache between her legs go away. He walked away and chose her, chose to be with a woman who would only manipulate him and break his heart. His loss, but she needed to get back to sleep. There was a big meeting with a potential new client tomorrow and she had to make a kick ass presentation.

Logan walked into (insert name of firm) and was greeted by a receptionist named Emily. Emily’s classic good looks were what Logan usually went for, but for some reason he didn’t feel the slightest bit of interest. Based on the slow perusal and the giant smile that spread across Emily’s face she was definitely interested. It was too bad she wasn’t doing it for him.
“How can I help you?” she asked breathily.
“I’ve got a meeting with Chloe Manning. I’m Logan Frasier with (Insert company name).”
“Okay. I’ll inform Chloe that you’re waiting after I show you to the conference room.” Emily stood up and walked towards the back, putting a little extra sway into her hips. After being left alone, Logan went to look out the window; the conference room had a great view of the Willamette River.
With a swift knock Chloe walked into the room and before she could say anything Logan felt a prickling of awareness, the kind he’d only experienced with one person. Maybe this meeting was going to be better than expected. Turning he heard a gasp and was shocked to see who it came from. After all this time, the one who ran away with his heart was standing right in front of him.
Lexi couldn’t believe it, the one man she’d moved to Portland to avoid was standing in her conference room, he was her potential client. Wow, talk about fate throwing a curveball. Then again, this felt more like a punch in the gut and a mockery of what once was.
Struggling for professionalism Lexi extended her hand and said, “Welcome to (Name) Mr. Frasier. I’m Alexis Laurens, Chloe and I will be joining forces to show you why we are the perfect firm to meet all of your company’s needs.”
Just as Lexi was getting ready to congratulate herself on her professionalism, Logan replied, “Do you really think I could have forgotten you Lexi? It hasn’t been that long.”
